So busy lately, but....

I always have time to scan the internet for inspiring things.

First, you must check out this blog http://jenniferkimphotography.com/blog/ she is a photographer that I do not know but love. She takes lots of pictures of the traditional 1st year korean birthday parties. Some of these people go all out and I am so wanting to do a traditional party for Lyla. We threw Cache a big party and although nothing like some of these people on the blog it was pretty good. However, I wish my husband or inlaws would have told me about a few of the traditional things I left out, just not really knowing about them.

So, this leads me to the second thing I fell in love with, I want this Hanbok for Lyla's birthday. We will be in Utah for Christmas so I was going to have her pictures taken there and thought the furry vest would be so cute with the snow.

Here is Cache in his 1 year hanbok

The next thing I fell in love with was this dress. This picture is of some girl who again I don't know but this is their engagement picture. I wonder if dave would retake some engagement photo's so I could wear a dress like this. If you know someone getting engaged you need to tell them to wear a dress like this one, so cute!

And lastly, we are attempting to make some vases like these for a primary activity. Hopefully they turn out just as cute! Don't you love hydreangas (how in the world do you spell that word?) They are so clean and cute looking.

I love the inspiration. Doesn't it make you feel so good to look at beautiful things? Its a good pick me up during nap time!

And one last post....

I have this crazy obsession with Jersey Shore. I know it is so sad and probably one of the worst shows on television but it is like passing an accident and you just cant stop looking and your yelling at everyone else to stop looking so traffic can keep going. This show is a total wreck from beginning to end, it degrades women, it makes "hooking up" with strangers as necessary as going to the bathroom but I just can't stop watching. It's absolutely outrageous and for that I am addicted. I have my very own "situation" (only the glasses not the attitude, he will get his butt kicked if he treats women the way the "real situation" treats women.) But doesn't he just look so cute!

Lake Powell 2010

Lyla's little bed on the beach

Cache and Dave went out on the tube...I was holding my breathe the whole time praying cache wouldn't fall off.

He could have just sat there and swam the whole time

I love this picture...Dave playing football, dad shooting the water gun, and cache in his own world playing the water.

Totally debated on posting this picture...I did just give birth 8 months ago and am still working on the weight, but I had to prove I did wake surf.

Clayton, you are a dork!

Uncle Clayton and Aunt TT

The other thing cache had to do everytime we were on the boat...drive. I kept telling Clayton and my dad to be careful he may just crank the wheel and we will all fly out. Luckily that didnt happen!

Lake Powell is always great...however, we all agreed a houseboat is a for sure next year. I felt good getting on the wakeboard and surf board with my post pregnancy body even if I could only last a few minutes. Wow that was a lot of work! We had fun except that I seriously broke or spranged my toe. It's still all black and blue.

Happy 8 Years

Yesterday, September sixth, Dave and I shared our 8 year anniversary. We didn't make a big deal because one, we were driving home from lake powell and two, I told dave that this year and next should just be low key anniversaries and our 10 year we go all out. Since traffic was awful, we didn't get home until almost 4 pm, and we had just spent all day driving anniversary #8 was not the best. However, after 8 years of marriage and a year and a half of dating I know I am with the one I am meant to be with.

Happy 8 Years!

Backseat Driver

So I now have my newest, littlest back seat driver. Cache yells at me from his carseat and tells me how I am not going fast enough, he wants to see another car in front of me, or I am driving to crazy. He really loves when I step on the peddle to get on the freeway and he likes to think we are a race car. I never thought I would have to please a 3 year old with my driving skills.

Monterey, CA

Well I had written out a bunch of stuff about our vacation but somehow I erased it. Yeah, not so cool. Here is the run down, we visited Dave's parents in Monterey. We went to the aquarium (one of the largest in the world...I think), went to cannery row and carmel to window shop, ate at amazing restaurants, froze at the beach (don't think cache cared how cold it was and yes crazy people were swimming in the ocean and no we did not!) Just drove around alot and reminisced about when Dave and I lived there and how different some places were and how others never change. It is so beautiful, it makes me wish I was living somewhere even remotely pretty. However, few places compare to Monterey. We didn't get to do everything we wanted, lots of tourists around so it made it difficult to get around. Next we will plan for a different month.

*Visiting the farmers market, the best ever! SO many things to see and the best fruit and veggies. Yum Yum.

*Carmel beach is always supposed to be warmer...not that day!

*Monterey always has the coolest car shows and they were all headed into town for cherries jubilee. Everytime they would have a car show I would get it in my head that I could buy and old crappy car and restore it and drive all around town. Dave was not so into that idea.

*I guess cache pledged to be a safe driver...I think dave put him up to that. He loved seeing his face on the screen.

*The Aquarium

*The aquarium

*My feet were freezing

*I cannot get enough of this face...I love it!

*Visiting asilomar beach in pacific grove. Just a walk from daves family hotel.

*We were able to meet up with Dave's brother and sister in law and their cute boy in Gilroy for some brunch.

*By Cannery Row. Dave had to buy cache an A's hat, he has to represent.

*On the rocks at lovers point in Pacific Grove. I worked at a bed and breakfast that overlooked the ocean here...it was such a fun job.

Apples to Zebra's

Cache started his Apple's to Zebra's preschool and loves it. He didn't cry, whine, pout, tell me he doesn't want to go...nothing. SO surprised. I was gearing up for alot of energy to get him to go every week but he really likes it. Which makes life so much easier for me. Yay! So far we love this program, a time for him to socialize (a trait I have a feeling came from his mother) he gets to make arts and crafts which I love since I am not one to love to do arts and crafts. So far its a win win...hope I don't jinx it.
